I am right with you on using video. It really ups the trust factor. I think one thing that stands in the way of small businesses using video is they think they have to invest a lot of money in high end equipment or professional video editing. All you really need is a handheld video camera and a story to tell.

It's also important to connect with people via video usage too. Seeing a person, versus just reading what someone has written can often be quite impactful. Food for thought, small businesses uploading video about their company or passing along video testimonials is a great opportunity to prove their value. Adwido allows small businesses to do just that... I've used it for both my jewelry business and it has been very impactful. Maybe a blog on internet video advertising would be helpful?

Agreed! Smaller companies should have an easier time adapting to this, if they can see it.

The cost for small businesses to get in the game has fallen dramatically. With tools like twitter at hand, anyone can connect easily with customers. I've had friends complain about one large company, only to have that company's smaller competitor sweep in to gain the user. Not only are users/customers looking for businesses to talk with, businesses are proactively seeking new ways of connecting with potential customers. It's amazing and a wonderful change.
